Indy Offer Revved Up For Newly Released World Supersport Calendar
After weeks of uncertainty, Indy Offer can now look ahead with excitement after Dorna announced yesterday the updated World Superbike calendar that will see the British youngster make his full time debut in the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship with Italian team Scuderia Maranga at the end of July in Jerez, Spain.
Indy, who will make history by becoming the youngest ever full time British rider to enter the series, has been working and training hard during the UK lockdown to ensure he is ready for when racing resumes.
In addition to the new calendar it has been announced that there will two races at each event for WorldSSP300 giving Indy an even greater incentive to qualify for the ‘main’ race.
“It’s felt like forever to get the new calendar, but I understand that it can’t have been easy for Dorna. I cannot wait to finally get going in Jerez, which is a track I know from an early season test. I will have a lot to learn as I said when I signed with the team, but Alberto and everyone are putting me under no pressure. I just have to take each race as it comes and do my best. I’m lucky because I have a good bunch of people around me and that means I can enjoy it and hopefully the results will come. Two races a weekend for Supersport is brilliant for the fans and means even more track time if you are able to qualify directly or through the ‘Last Chance Race’. I will be giving it 100% and want to thank everyone who is supporting me. I hope that we get a race in the UK, but if we don’t, I will just have to wait until next year!”
