Indy to ride for BR Corse in FIM Supersport 300 Championship and CIV Italian Supersport 300 in 2022
Indy Offer will race for BR Corse in both the 2022 FIM Supersport 300 Championship and the CIV Italian Supersport 300 Championship after inking a deal that will see him switch from Kawasaki, returning to Yamaha machinery.
Indy, whose debut season last years was hampered by pre-season injury and significantly reduced due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, made great strides this year. Lapping faster at each circuit raced, he ran close to the top twenty in terms of race results on several occasions and is motivated and excited at what the future holds.
The deal, which was agreed in Barcelona at the start of the triple header that ends the 2021 season, also ensures a complete winter training schedule, giving the teenager the best possible opportunity for success in 2022.
“I am really thankful to Andrea and Eduardo and everyone at BR Corse for giving me the opportunity to join them next season. They have proved that they can develop riders and help them to make the next step that is needed to succeed at this level, and this is something that I am really excited about. They have a lot of knowledge and will provide me with the tools to be able to focus on my riding both in the world championship and in Italy. Racing in the Italian Championship will also be good for my career as it means I will be riding a lot. The CIV level is high and doing both championships with BR Corse can only help me. We have a lot of exciting things planned both on and off the track and I cannot wait to get started. It will be a nice feeling to be racing in blue again! Finally, I want to thank SMW Racing for giving me the chance to race within the World Superbike paddock for the last two seasons and I wish them all the best for the future.”
