Successful Spanish Shakedown For Indy Offer
2022 may only be a little over a week old but British teenager Indy Offer, who will compete for BR Corse Yamaha in both the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship and the Italian CIV Supersport 300 series, has already spun his first laps of the new year.
Taking to the track alongside his new team manager and former racer Edoardo Mazzuoli at the Jerez circuit in Southern Spain, Indy was able to complete three days of riding, ending the shakedown test having lapped significantly faster than he ever has at the iconic Spanish track.
With the new season not beginning until April, Indy has several further tests scheduled and is excited and motivated for the year ahead.
“Overall it was a good three days of riding, and I ended the test more than two seconds faster than my PB from WorldSBK last year which is really encouraging. We really focused on my riding and never changed the bike once! It was good to be in company with Eduardo, who has a lot of experience on track, and was so good to be back on a bike so early in the year and already making such good progress. Over the next few weeks, we will continue what we’re doing and stick to the plan. I’m really looking forward for the first test with my 2022 race machine and to being back on track with BR Corse who have been brilliant so far.”
