Strongest Weekend Of The Year In Misano For Indy Offer
Indy Offer continues to make steps towards the front of the 2022 FIM Supersport 300 World Championship grid, the young British rider narrowly missing a double top twenty finish in the latest round of the series at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Offer, whose BR Corse Yamaha squad hail from Italy, set his fastest ever lap around the 2.4-mile Misano circuit on Friday before going even faster in Superpole on Saturday.
Saturday’s opening race saw him finish P22 after a small mistake early on, before a spirited ride on Sunday saw him race to P21, crossing the line at the end of the fifteen-lap encounter closer to winner than at any point in his world championship career.
Indy will now remain in Italy for the latest round of the CIV Italian Supersport 300 Championship before attending the UK Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park, where he will participate in various media activities on the Paddock Show stage in support of the Two Wheels for Life charity.
“Race 1 wasn’t bad at all. I was able to go faster again and the first five laps I was able to stay closer to the group. I made a better start in Race 2 and overall, I had a decent opening lap. I made a mistake at turn eight and then couldn’t stay with the group. I kept my head down and posted my best sector times, I just need to string it all together now. Overall, it was my best weekend of the year, and I am looking forward to riding at Mugello next weekend and then doing my bit for charity at Donington Park in July.”
